Olivia Nix

MHPS Intern

Hi, I’m Olivia! I have a degree in Urban & Regional Planning from Texas State, and my path to peer support has come out of years spent building systems and holding space for people in transition, from hospitality operations to nature-based wellness facilitation. I also draw from my own lived experience with mental health, which is a big part of why this work matters to me.

I’m especially interested in the moments between “fine” and “crisis,” the space where steady, non-clinical support can make a real difference before things escalate. I’m also passionate about the systems we build around our daily lives. I currently work as a home organizer, and I’ve seen firsthand how getting your physical space in order can be a real support to your mental health.

In my free time, you’ll find me exploring rivers and oceans on a paddleboard, or visiting community-based travel destinations: where tourism actually strengthens and empowers local communities instead of extracting from them.
