Simone Pollard

Board Member

Simone Pollard is from Austin, Texas, currently living in Georgetown, Texas.

She was educated at Texas State University, and the American Trade Institute in Dallas, Texas. Her major is in Advertising, with an interest in Fashion Design. She is currently seeking a Master’s in Education.

Simone has retired from the City of Austin Parks and Recreation after 23 years of service.

She now works for the Pflugerville Independent School District as a Parent Liaison at Northwest Elementary. She loves working with children, and helping woman to become the best they can be. You can see this through her services in the Youth Ministry, Outreach Ministry, and Women’s Ministry at New Hope Baptist Church in Austin, Texas and First Baptist Church NBC in San Marcos, Texas.

Simone’s passions are developing youth to be contributing citizens in our society, serving the lost and those in need, ministering to women in crisis, and supporting men to be good fathers and husbands. Outside of the church, Simone facilitates a Marriage Ministry, annual Women’s Conference, Life Planning Retreats, and entrepreneur services to new entrepreneurs.

Simone currently serves on the board for the Austin Bat Cave, Hopestreet Ministries, and Austin Mental Health Community. She has also served on many planning committees, including the Austin Community College Intergenerational Juneteenth Festival, the Greater East Austin Juneteenth Committee, the Positive Women’s Coalition, Parks and Recreation Non-Traditional Teen Program, City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, the Dallas Faith Community Choir, Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the Texas Gospel Announcer’s Guild.

Her mottos are to “control life, don’t let it control you”, and “always smile, no matter what you’re going through”.
