Debbie joined the Admin Team at Austin MHC in September 2023. She has lived experience in long-term recovery since April 2015. Her passion for recovery and the need to help others, combined with her many years of customer service at an Animal Hospital, led her to pursue a career as a Certified Recovery Support Peer Specialist. In addition to being an Administrative Assistant, she helps facilitate Support Groups, provides resources to our members, and is always available to lend a listening ear or share her own lived experience with members who may be struggling. She finds it both rewarding and fulfilling to be a part of the Austin MHC Team.
Debbie often shares: “When I stop judging others, my fear of being judged is greatly diminished”.
