Kimberly Redwine

MHPS, RSPS Intern

Hello! My name is Kimberly, and I’ve had the privilege of working as a Mental Health Peer Specialist at Integral Care and currently as a Prevention Specialist for Phoenix House Texas, helping people on their journey to better mental health and recovery. My work focuses on offering support, sharing experiences, and leading programs to help people build resilience and make healthier life choices. I’m passionate about mental wellness, mindfulness, and prevention, and I love seeing people take steps toward living their best lives.

I am interning here at Austin Mental Health Community as a Recovery Support Peer Specialist, where I provide peer support and guidance to individuals in their recovery journey. As someone in recovery for both my mental health and substance use, with seven years of personal recovery from alcohol and drugs, I understand firsthand the challenges and triumphs of the process. I’m dedicated to supporting others as they work toward healing and growth.

I moved to Austin two years ago with my emotional support dog, Jetta, and I’m loving the new adventure here. I have three adult children and three adorable grandbabies—with one on the way—who keep me entertained and remind me of what really matters and what I am here for. I’m also currently pursuing my Associate’s degree in Addiction Counseling at Austin Community College, eager to expand my skills and knowledge to support even more people in their recovery.
