The Neighborhood Centers provide assistance to low-and moderate-income families in need throughout the community. This program helps people with income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. This program serves individuals or households who are experiencing a financial crisis. This program helps people 18 years old and older. You must be a resident of Austin/Travis County and a renter with your name on the lease or contract. Rent/utility bill must be PAST DUE in order to receive financial assistance, and all related requests must go through the Rent & Utility line at 512-972-5780. Services offered include food pantry and donations, child safety seats and supplies, notary services, bus passes, help with employment, help applying for benefits or filling out forms, short-term counseling, pregnancy testing and referrals, health services and referrals, and limited rent and utility assistance.
