Neighborhood Center Services

The Neighborhood Centers provide assistance to low-and moderate-income families in need throughout the community. This program helps people with income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. This program serves individuals or households who are experiencing a financial crisis. This program helps people 18 years old and older. You must be a resident of Austin/Travis County and a renter with your name on the lease or contract. Rent/utility bill must be PAST DUE in order to receive financial assistance, and all related requests must go through the Rent & Utility line at 512-972-5780. Services offered include food pantry and donations, child safety seats and supplies, notary services, bus passes, help with employment, help applying for benefits or filling out forms, short-term counseling, pregnancy testing and referrals, health services and referrals, and limited rent and utility assistance. The South Austin Neighborhood Center listed is temporarily closed due to building repairs. Please check the website for locations and availability.
