Recovery Conversations That Inspire Possibility is a 1.5 hour continuing education training for Peer Specialists and Peer Specialist Supervisors that explores how meaningful conversations can foster hope, self-discovery, and personal growth while honoring self-determination and individual choice. Peer support is not about convincing someone to change or guiding them toward predetermined outcomes. Instead, it is about creating space for people to explore their own experiences, goals, values, and possibilities.
This training examines how Peer Specialists can use curiosity, authentic connection, and strengths-based dialogue to support individuals in identifying what matters most to them. Participants will explore ways to encourage reflection without persuasion, support growth without directing, and remain grounded in peer support values while navigating conversations about recovery, wellness, and change.
