“Having Difficult Conversations in Peer Support”
This interactive training provides 1.5 hours of continuing education for Peer Specialists and Peer Specialist Supervisors and focuses on navigating difficult conversations in peer support work while remaining grounded, respectful, and recovery focused.
Participants explore how to address conflict, express concerns, set limits, and respond to strong emotions without escalating tension or compromising peer relationships. Through real-world scenarios, discussion, and practice exercises, participants learn communication strategies that support honesty, empathy, and collaboration, even when conversations feel uncomfortable or emotionally charged.
